Hi dear. I have found new problem when installing vmware esxi in our Assembly Server. I used Intel ServerBoard S2600CWR with processor Intel Xeon E5-2690 v4. After fresh install and login dashboard vmware via browser, I found problem about System Sensor. System Board 1 BMC fw health 0 sensor-discrete Show yellow Status Warning VMware Esxi 5.5, 6.5, 6,7
In Vmware Esxi dashboard, monitor hardware show Warning, with color yellow. Unfortunately I am not get screenshoot this picture.
After googling, system board 1 bmc fw health 0 is associated with chassis server. See this article. This article show how to fix this problem with Ensure the chassis lid is properly closed and re-run the BIOS/firmware update.
How To Fix it.
- Update BIOS with latest
Launch update BIOS via EFI or UEFI. Depend on serverboard what You have.
- Update fru sdr repository
Still in process update bios via “EFI” or “UEFI”. In my serverboard S2600CW have 5 port fan port. But, in my chassis server just install 3 Fan active. So I am doing this step, with disable fan number 4 and 5 in fru sdr repository.
- Finish and reboot
After finish and reboot, the problem had gone.
